Tarot Card for the Week of 7-28-13

The tarot cards hold special meanings, warnings, characteristics and actions that may need to be taken in order to change your course in life. Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Minor Arcana, Three of Pentacles as the tarot card for the week of 7-28-13, this is the week that you will be rewarded for your hard work and talents in your professional life. Be wary of those individuals who might undermine your effort. Plans that you have for a new project will start to fall into place. However, make sure that you have the qualifications and knowledge to pursue it. If you are not genuinely motivated in your goals and your heart is not in it, be honest with yourself and don’t proceed. Don’t lose hope if your plans don’t go as smoothly as you would like them to. This might also be the week to start looking around for real estate. But do not buy anything in haste, as doing your homework has its rewards.

UPRIGHT:
The Three of Pentacles, Minor Arcana, refers to success and hard work. You will be rewarded, respected and recognized in your profession. Perhaps a promotion is in the works. Follow through on all of your goals. This is a time when your future looks bright and your hard work is paying off. If you are starting a new project, lay a good foundation and you will reap the benefits. Your skills are needed and appreciated, which brings about personal satisfaction. Spiritually, you will find this fulfilling.
REVERSED:
A fear of failure or a refusal to commit to a particular path will definitely hinder your success. You are frustrated in your career, as you feel that you are overqualified. You have become complacent and full of yourself. There also may be a lack of ambition. You reap what you sow. Be careful. You may be pushing the envelope — accept delays. This is not a time to rush results or change. This is a card that speaks to pacing yourself. It is what you learn after you think you know everything that matters. Criticism and an undermining of your personal abilities is holding you back. Accept that hard work is a necessary element for success. Right now you are your own worst enemy. Build your self-confidence.

Why Do Spirits Linger?

 earthboundspirit

An earthbound spirit is a deceased person’s soul whose energy lingers in the physical world and has not yet crossed over into the spiritual realm. Many reasons have been hypothesized about why these souls do not cross over. Films and television programs tend to popularize the belief that entities who stick around on the physical plane are there to wreak havoc on loved ones, people who have purchased property in which they inhabited or those who have disturbed their resting places. Some of these are fictional accounts and do not represent the whole story.

The common collective research about near-death experiences (NDEs) has been that when one dies and transitions to the spirit world, a bright, loving, light within a tunnel appears and the soul is guided through it and greeted by past loved ones or benevolent entities. Whether or not you believe this, you have most likely heard it. The transition is completed and the soul becomes a part of the spirit world. But how do you really know if a soul has successfully crossed over?

Theories exist that some souls do not transition to the other side in a picture-perfect way. Some researchers and psychic mediums believe that perhaps a soul might encounter obstacles to its transition. These so-called earthbound spirits may have something holding them back that will not allow them to rest in peace. Listed below are some possible explanations as to why a spirit might remain stuck in the physical realm.

Confusion — A person who experienced a bewildering, traumatic, sudden death by way of a car accident, act of war, murder, plane crash, or other unexpected means, might not cross over immediately because he/she does not comprehend his/her own death. It may take a long while for the perplexed individual to accept what has happened and to allow the transition to the spirit world.

Unfinished Business — Earthbound spirits may not want to cross over because they were unable to complete an important project prior to their death and they are fixated on seeing it through; they may want to make sure that their loved ones rightfully benefit from the inheritance due to them; they might feel they have to relay one final important message to someone; or they have a specific goal that they were robbed of completing while they were still alive.

Fear of the Unknown — People who had specific religious beliefs when they were alive might still harbor those beliefs as an earthbound spirit. They may actually fear the act of crossing over. They might be guilt-laden because of their earthly deeds and fear being judged too harshly. The fear of crossing over may also stem from the fear of encountering souls in the spirit world who have wronged them or encountering those souls who they had wronged in the physical world. There might also exist the fear that if they cross over their energy will not continue on.

Guilt — An earthbound spirit who has commit suicide or whose behavior contributed to the death (e.g., addiction problems) may experience overwhelming guilt at abruptly leaving behind loved ones — leaving them to fend for themselves and to dig their way out of possible financial debt or legal troubles.

Right a Wrong — Especially in the case of an individual has been murdered, the soul will make every effort to stay in the physical realm to reveal clues surrounding the mystery of his/her death, in the hopes that those who were involved will be brought to justice. A spirit might also be compelled to delay crossing over in order to help a loved one or friend uncover the truth or warn about a situation or an individual who has been unfaithful or whose motives have been unscrupulous in some way.

Loved Ones not Letting Go — Earthbound spirits are often kept from crossing over because the loved ones they have left behind have not been able to move forward or let go and accept the death. The living individuals have not learned to live without the deceased. The spirit becomes tied to those feelings, which overrides their ability to move on to the spirit world. The spirits become stuck and chained down to the physical realm.

In conclusion, at times, the spirits as well as the living need help to make the necessary transitions after death. Psychic mediums and those who are extremely sensitive to spirits have been quite successful in assisting and persuading these earthbound spirits to cross over. They have also been able to uncover the various reasons that may have been holding the spirits back from doing so. They have been able to ally their fears and enticed them to a better place and out of a state of limbo. This process does not always happen immediately. It may take quite some time and patience to achieve the desired outcome for all.

Tarot Card for the Week of 7-21-13

The tarot cards hold special meanings, warnings, characteristics and actions that may need to be taken in order to change your course in life. Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Minor Arcana, Nine of Pentacles as the tarot card for the week of 7-21-13, this is the week to sit back and enjoy the fruits of your labor. Never lose sight of how you overcame the hurdles that stood in your way. Those obstacles were part of the process. You should applaud yourself for all of your efforts and take pride in the fact that you accomplished your goals single-handedly. However, there is no shame in asking others for assistance. This may also be the week that you find out that unexpected money may be coming your way. Be mindful of any underlying fears you may be harboring, as they will take away from your achievements. This is the time to use your intuition in all business dealings and relationships. Stay away from gossip as it may come back and bite you. This card can also be issuing a warning about an untrustworthy individual lurking nearby or that you need to question your own motives is a particular situation.

UPRIGHT:
Nine of Pentacles, Minor Arcana, symbolizes inner satisfaction. Take pleasure in all that you have accomplished. You are enjoying the benefits of your hard work. You are at peace with yourself. This card suggests that you are comfortable with independence and solitude and trusting your own judgment. You no longer solely rely on others to make a move. Money is flowing well right now, so treat yourself to some of the luxuries you have denied yourself for so long. But you need to realize that money does not make up for emotional deficits. However, this is also the time to move closer to nature. This will be spiritually rewarding. Your intuition will be running high. Trust your gut. When it comes to partnerships or relationships, your own growth should never be sacrificed for someone else. You might also reap the benefits of an unexpected inheritance or that old financial issues may be settled. It might also be a settlement from a divorce. Whatever might ail you physically, will be easily resolved.

REVERSED:
Money is disappearing. Take stock of your lifestyle and cut back your spending where necessary. There may be bad investments that are not paying off or expenses you did not count on. Your financial security is suddenly and unexpectedly threatened, perhaps by an untrustworthy individual. Your resources for money to expand your business are running out. Research your previous mistakes. Ask yourself: Have I been honest? Or have I deceived? Was I thinking clearly, or shooting from the hip with regard to my finances? It may also indicate an individual who is corrupt and plays off the weakness and lack of knowledge of others. This may be a time when you should not isolate yourself. You do have a lot to give to others and should not shut down. If you are beginning a new venture, do not get involved in deceitful or underhanded deals. Idle gossip and dishonest behavior will only reflect badly on you. Have you put your financial hunger in front of your relationships? There is a lot to be lost if you have. Start to be more introspective of your actions and learn to use common sense.

Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Major Arcana Lovers card as the tarot card for the week of 7-14-13, it not only speaks about love between couples, but it asks you to examine your other relationships, such as business partners and close friendships. The Lovers card also represents choices you can make about the direction your life can take, particularly regarding parts of your life that you are dissatisfied with. Examine those choices diligently to make sure that you have chosen the correct path. This might be the week to go with your intuition involving relationships — either continuing or severing. Get honest with yourself about your true commitment in your relationships. Are you comfortable with your actions? If there has been discord in your marriage, this might be the time to seek professional counseling.

MAJOR ARCANA NUMBER 6

ASTROLOGICAL SIGN or PLANET: GEMINI, MERCURY, VENUS

UPRIGHT:
The Lovers card indicates both the most powerful of unions and the most challenging of conflicts that humans must face. On one hand, the card embodies love and union on a cosmic scale — a love so strong, so inherently good that it actually makes the lovers better, more than they really are. All of the elements are there for the perfect union. The Lovers represent all-powerful unions and the elements that create and sustain them. Because of the strong bonds, all trials and tribulations will be overcome. When this card appears, it may also indicate that you may be facing two different paths to take in your relationship. It is important to choose your path carefully, and most of all, follow your intuition and heart.
REVERSED:
In the reversed position, the Lovers card can signify distrust or manipulation in a relationship, being in an unfulfilled relationship or having unrealistic expectations. There is a possibility you have made poor choices. Do not make hasty decisions in a relationship. There can also be jealousy, lack of morals, standards and values, unreliability and irrationality. This card may also indicate frustration in a current relationship, which is caused by indecision. It is also an indication of friction in the relationship and some counseling may be a good option. Stagnation in seeking help may resolve itself in a separation or divorce. Be wary of possible toxic emotional relationships.

Connecting with the Other Side

 door opened

Psychic mediums have the ability to connect with loved ones who have passed, as well as to know the names of those who are living that have played or are playing significant roles in an individual’s life. They are also able to pick up on a person’s career, travel plans or current events that may be impacting one’s life. Psychic Library’s psychic medium, Donnie Tash, who is also one of its founders, has often been asked to describe what happens and what it looks like when he communicates with someone’s loved one who has passed. He does not go into a trance, the names and information are just there in his mind, and all he does is relay it back to the person. He prefers to call the process “harnessing their energies.” These energies are the spirits.

IN A PSYCHIC MEDIUM’S OWN WORDS

By Donnie Tash

Each of us carries within ourselves the imprints of our past and current experiences, sensitivities and vulnerabilities — what I refer to as invisible tattoos or veiled scars. I have a heightened sensitivity to some people’s imprints. These imprints are vibrations that translate to my mind’s eye as images and past events, most of which relate to people (living or dead) who have been involved in a person’s life or those who are currently playing a role in it. My intuition also plays an important role when I feel that something new or challenging is about to happen in someone’s life.

Many people want to know what the Other Side looks like. It’s not like I get a peek into where these people go, or that I have to pass through a lighted white tunnel, as so many people have reported after a near-death experience (NDE). I get pictures in my mind, somewhat clear. Then I see a jigsaw puzzle of facts and thoughts that fit in with those pictures.

Think about it, when you put together a real jigsaw puzzle, you start with the pieces on the outer edge to make things easier; then eventually everything connects, and all of those smaller, single pieces fit together. Sometimes though, I am given the center piece of the puzzle and work my way out. However, the person who is getting the reading may not put all the pieces together during a reading because things move at such a rapid pace. It may take a while for all of the pieces to fit and some people might not connect them for even a day or two.

People who have passed on are sometimes very clear to me. Those who are ready to come through are at times just standing there. A person may come to a reading in the hopes of contacting a specific individual who has passed; however, sometimes another individual may come through to me with a totally different message. This is something a psychic has no control over. But during that same reading, bits and pieces may be revealed about the initial individual the person wanted to contact. In fact, sometimes people appear just to jar the individual’s memory.

When people from the other side speak through me, it’s as if I have a cell phone in my head and I’m receiving an audio text message. Try to envision that you are recalling a conversation you have had with someone. That’s exactly how I hear them. I then start getting a name, and more and more details start to show up. By sitting down and thinking a bit longer, more details do appear. I often get visual snippets of images of either the person or of something that relates to them, for example, something they had owned or a hobby they enjoyed.

Names, at times, can be tricky for me. I might only get sounds of single letters that appear in the name, or I might get garbled groups of sounds. For example, note the similarity between the names Barbara and Rebecca. In another example, I might ask: Who’s name contains a strong, dominant sounding letter L? Then I may think of Lilly or Alison. However, sometimes a name or nickname will just come through very clear and precise. I will ask the person receiving the reading: What does this person mean to you? Or Who did you refer to with this name?

All in all, remember that psychic readings go very quickly. You may not understand all of the messages during the reading, but give it some time. You will figure it out and it will make sense. As a psychic medium, I do appreciate it when someone who has gotten a reading from me lets me know that they understand the connections made and have fit all of the pieces together.

Tarot Card for the Week of 7-7-13

The tarot cards hold special meanings, warnings, characteristics and actions that may need to be taken in order to change your course in life. Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Four of Cups as the tarot card for the week of 7-7-13, this may be the week to keep your eyes open for new opportunities in a relationship or employment. Make sure that you take a look at all the pros and cons. Your self-absorption, anxiety or boredom may be getting in the way of change. This is the week to let go of any old emotional wounds and move on. Also, you may be the one who has been holding yourself back. The card indicates new beginnings, but if you wallow in your self-pity, nothing will change. If you have been overly indulgent lately, this may be the week to start cutting back. This is definitely the week to concentrate on yourself, both physically and emotionally.

UPRIGHT:
The Four of Cups card, Minor Arcana, represents your need for a change. You have become bored and dissatisfied with things that used to bring you joy. You are showing signs of apathy. You may be dwelling on issues from the past. Stir the pot and find a new interest or relationship. Look deep within yourself for peace and renewal. This is a time for you to take a look outside of yourself. You just may find some new opportunities for fulfillment. This is an action that must be taken. The card can also indicate that you have been on the defensive about something and have shut down. This may be due to old wounds that have not healed. Don’t let your unfounded fears keep you stuck. The card at its worst symbolizes someone who is self-absorbed and has little regard for other people’s needs.

REVERSED:
An opportunity may present itself, but you have to make every effort to grab it. This will require hard work. Don’t close yourself off to possibilities and options because you are too wrapped up in yourself. Your overindulgence has taken its toll. Possible mental and physical illness can surface. You have experienced an emotional shut down due to the fear of expressing your true emotions. Remember that there are people who are around you who need your support and attention.
