Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Queen of Wands as the tarot card for the week of 12-29-13, this might be the week to ask a woman in your life for guidance and advice with your relationships or career path. Be careful of what you tell her as it could come back to haunt you. This card signifies that your natural creative approach is nourishing others and that you are steering many people along your vision for their benefit. Like a true queen, you demand an audience and are the center of attention. Your visions and ideas are well taken. Your sense of humor is invaluable. A child could be in your future.
REVERSED:
You are showing stubbornness and arrogance. Your overspending causes negative results. Jealousy will stop you from attaining your goals. You find no room for error. You have a tendency to be nasty, can be overambitious and overbearing. You like to create opposition and devisiveness. Jealousy, resentment and pushiness may surround a relationship.

Personal Year Calculator 2014

Your personal year number in numerology gives you a snapshot of the upcoming or past calendar years. It is based on your date of birth and the year you want to know about. Each personal year is part of a one-through-nine-year cycle, beginning when you are born and repeating again after every ninth year. Here is how to find your personal year number for 2014. Follow the calculation example given below.

The first step is to reduce the month and day of your birth to a single number. So if your birthday is on March 3, add the number of the month (3) to the date (3). The single number is now 6 (3 + 3 = 6). NOTE: If your birthday number adds up to the Master numbers 11 or 22, reduce them to 2 and 4, respectively.

Then reduce the year that you want to know about to a single number. The year 2014 becomes the number 7 (2 + 0 + 1 + 4 = 7). Next, add the 2 numbers together (6 + 7 = 13, then reduce the number 13 to a single number (1 + 3 = 4). Based on this formula this person is entering a Personal Year 4.

Now that you know how to calculate your personal year number, it can give you deeper insights into your future, as well as give you insights into your past, which have impacted your life today.

Personal Year 1 — Personal year 1 is the beginning of your next 9-year cycle. It is the year of new beginnings, adventures and major changes in your life. So keep your eyes open for new opportunities. It is now time to take action, initiative and define your goals. It will be easy for you to tap into the energy necessary to make things happen. What you do now will bring great benefits in the future. Prepare to take on leadership roles this year, but avoid stubbornness, hastiness and recklessness. Your independence will be an important part of this cycle, as you learn to rely on your own resources. If you choose to ignore opportunities that are clearly placed in front of you, they may not present themselves again until the start of the next 9-year cycle.

Personal Year 2 — Personal year 2 is a year in which you choose a slower pace than the previous one. Remember, it is okay to rest. It will rejuvenate your energies and outlook. This is the year that you will find yourself focusing on your business and personal relationships, particularly on those who may require some extra kindness, helpfulness and assistance. It is time to find relationships that will become beneficial for you down the road. You must also take some extra time for yourself and concentrate on your needs and what brings you happiness. In fact, this may be the year that you will feel comfortable asking others for help. Your intuition will be at an all time high this year. So trust your inner voice.

Personal Year 3 — The key to personal year 3 year is socializing and enjoying life and your relationships. Your creativity, zest and desire for life are at a pinnacle. It is time to nurture the happiness and beauty that you have within yourself. Remember to be grateful for what you have and what you have been given. Do not focus on what you don’t have or what you have lost. This may be year to let your guard down and loosen up a bit. Have fun but do not lose sight of your goals. You might find yourself being much more accepted and popular within many social circles. Old friends may re-appear to rekindle your relationship. This may open opportunities for you to find yourself in the public eye. Self-expression is heightened in this 3 personal year, especially in the areas of the arts and verbal and written skills. This may be a year that all rational thinking with regards to business and finances is thrown out the door. However, to your benefit, the following year you may find a solution to the financial turmoil.

Personal Year 4 — Personal year 4 is the period of time to focus on creating solid foundations in your life. Simplicity is the key to life this year. The previous year’s celebrating and over-indulging needs to be put on the back burner. Those times are just memories. It is very important during this year to take charge of your health. Physical exercise plays an important role. Perhaps consider martial arts and yoga, as they are wonderful tools for self-discipline. It is a time to be grounded and level headed. Look for projects or business dealings that are viable and without too many risks. You may find that hard work is often boring and monotonous, but stick with it and it will eventually pay off. Laziness is not acceptable. You need to get and stay organized in order to accomplish your goals. You have finally come to realize that hard work is required to maintain your lifestyle.

Personal Year 5 — Personal Year 5 holds exciting changes and personal freedom. With change on its way you will have to learn to be a bit more flexible. Let go of things that might be impeding your progress and growth. This can cause some stress, so try to stay positive and keep a good attitude. Do not be afraid to actively seek out new opportunities as they are presented. Act fast on them, but trust your intuition. Take advantage of the new friends you will make in your personal or business life. You will experience new directions and personal growth, which will come easily. Be prepared for a year of traveling and expanding your horizons. Toward the end of the year you may look back and say: Where did the year go? Most important for your personal year 5 is to stay focused and keep your energies working together on the same path.

Personal Year 6 — The theme for your personal year 6 is to focus on personal responsibilities, family, service to others and your overall well-being. It is important that you take care of your mind, body and spirit. Remember that you will need to take care of yourself first before you can be any help or support to others. You may want to enroll in a class that deals in the arts, which you have put off for a long time. This could be the year that you finally get that exciting personal makeover to rejuvenate you. It is also a time to be grounded and stay well balanced. In accomplishing this, family, friends and loved ones will turn to you for guidance, comfort, solace and courage. You may find that some relationships you have been hanging on to are burdensome or waning. Spend the time this year nurturing the relationships that are give and take and positive. Focus your attentions on personalizing your home with things that bring inner warmth and make it a comfortable sanctuary. It may be as simple as displaying an old photograph.

Personal Year 7 — Personal year 7 is one of great reflection — both inwardly and outwardly. You will find yourself taking time to renew your spiritual or religious beliefs. You will attain a higher consciousness through practices such as meditation, prayer or introspection. This is a year to take a look at your past experiences so that you do not repeat mistakes or impede your future growth. You might find this year gets more exciting as it goes along. You are going to learn the difference of being alone and being lonely. Your alone time is very important, as you will explore philosophies that will give you a better self-awareness and get you closer to the true meaning of your life. Your introspectiveness will draw others to you.

Personal Year 8 — This is the personal year in which you will reap the benefits of all your hard work. You will attain power and leadership in your activities and relationships. This is a year of major decisions and accomplishments. This personal year 8 you will find yourself extremely busy. Seize opportunities in business dealings and act on them. In this cycle, people will take notice of your professional strengths and you will find the spotlight shining directly on you.

Personal Year 9 — Personal year 9 is the final year of the 9-year cycle, a year of completion and endings. Because of that, this is not the year to start a new business or relationship.

You need to take an inventory of your life and its past triumphs and foibles. It is also a time to let go of the people, places and things from the past that have held you back. In short, out with the old and in with the new, for example, your career, home or a relationship. Letting go can be very difficult, but you will later realize that it was necessary. Allow yourself to do some internal and external housecleaning. You will find that many burdens will be lifted off of your shoulders. Go out and commune with nature, as it will relax you and prepare you for your next 9-year cycle. You should also focus on trying to be more compassionate, loving and giving this year, for you will reap great rewards.

Tarot Card for the Week of 12-22-13

Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Magician Card as the tarot card for the week of 12-22-13, this could be the week that your innate capabilities will be noticed and that a new career direction or opportunity is on the horizon. You may receive assistance from someone who is able to help you make necessary choices. Now is the time to reflect on the obstacles that you believe may have been holding you back and realize that you can conquer anything. Tapping into your intuition will infuse you with much needed energy and rejuvenation. Watch out for manipulative individuals who might be trying to exploit you or blame you for something. Also be mindful of your own abuse of power — it could point others in the wrong direction or cloud their decision making. This is definitely the week to check your attitude, have faith in yourself and make sure that you are applying all the necessary skills you need. Otherwise, you might be setting yourself up for failure.

MAJOR ARCANA NUMBER 1

ASTROLOGICAL SIGN or PLANET: ARIES, MERCURY

UPRIGHT:
The Magician card represents success, achievement and manifesting. It is a good omen. He is able to communicate the powers and gifts the universe has to offer. This is a sign to tap into your intuition. The Magician is self-aware and not afraid to act. His great strength gives him the freedom to make choices. He makes things happen and is in control as if by magic. This indicates somebody with great skills, be it yourself or perhaps another individual. This is also a sign that you need to take control of your life. Don’t tolerate those who might have abused you in the past. Dilemmas arise with choice — should he act morally or forsake ethics for personal gain? Depending on the chosen path, he might represent great strife going forward.
REVERSED:
In the reversed position, the Magician card can signify weakness, insecurity and a lack of imagination and creativity. You may be becoming manipulative at the expense of others. This is a time to look at your own attitude and motivations. Have you been manipulative? Are you applying yourself to the best of your abilities?

Tarot Card for the Week of 12-15-13

The tarot cards hold special meanings, warnings, characteristics and actions that may need to be taken in order to change your course in life. Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Eight of Cups as the tarot card for the week of 12-15-13, this might be the week to reevaluate the path you have been on. If things have not been going according to plan, this is the time to change the course. You need to realize that materialism is not the answer; you will need to tap into your spiritual self for guidance and fulfillment. Reflect on your lifestyle and outlook on life; change those habits that do not serve you well.

UPRIGHT:
Eight of Cups, Minor Arcana, indicates leaving something behind, a turning point. This card indicates that you are looking for deeper meanings and a more intense joy to what has been a somewhat mundane life. You have a desire to be somewhere else or to leave a relationship that is not bringing you emotional fulfillment. You may be feeling that there is not much left to give of yourself. Walking away at this point may be the best option. You want to escape, but will better serve yourself if you find the answers within. You must discover your true spiritual needs and put less importance on your material possessions. You realize that all the materialistic things you have acquired will not make you truly happy. This card indicates that you have grown tired of your old ways and you need to find some way to fill that void. You may feel disenchanted and frustrated with the lack of progress. This is a time for you to look for some form of spiritual fulfillment. Once this has been achieved, positive changes will happen.

REVERSED:
There is depression and emotional scarring. You are closed off from others. You have come to a point in your life where you are numbing your feelings and emotions. This may lead to some type of substance abuse, gambling or some other form of addiction. It is time to reach out for help. You are also solely out for extremes of pleasure, self-indulgence and gluttony. You also may not know which is the right direction to turn — there is a part of you that is comfortable in the current circumstances you are in; however, fear is holding you back from exploring new opportunities. This is the time to realize that you have come to a point in your life where you recognize your limitations and what can and cannot be fixed. Stop wavering and make a different choice. You have found it easier to walk away from problems than to confront them. You have created distractions, rather than deal with reality. Also, you are in denial about your financial resources. Reflect on whether you have done everything you could to help yourself out monetarily.

Tarot Card for the Week of 12-8-13

The tarot cards hold special meanings, warnings, characteristics and actions that may need to be taken in order to change your course in life. Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Page of Cups as the tarot card for the week of 12-8-13, this might not be the week to close off your emotions. Put any anxieties or fears aside. Be open to your gut feelings or even your own untapped psychic abilities. You may have more hidden talents than you realize. Also, look into promises that people are making to you — they may not be what they seem. You may be getting some very important news regarding either business or a personal relationship. However, don’t act impulsively, take your time in making decisions. If it is not meant to be, other opportunities will be presented down the road. Is someone holding you back from emotional, financial or spiritual growth? At the end of the week, you decide if the Page of Cups fell in the upright or reversed position for you.

UPRIGHT:
The Page of Cups, Minor Arcana, is a symbol of creativity and imagination. There is a message or some news coming your way. There might be a birth of new ideas or business. It might even symbolize the birth of a child. This is a time for you to express your feelings and do not be afraid of showing intimacy or love. Slow down and listen to your inner voice. The card symbolizes a person who is non-intimidating, gentle, loving, sensitive and highly intuitive — even having psychic abilities. This individual has control of their energies. Accept help from a younger individual if offered. This will be one of the best gifts you can give yourself. This is not a time to sit back, you must take action on the message. The page possesses a childlike wonder, but his sensitive side can lead to becoming anxious and fearful.

REVERSED:
You will not be getting good news. This card represents an individual who may be suffering from a grave emotional deficit. He may be subject to substance abuse. This person may end up draining you emotionally. Be aware — this could be abusive. This person will drain you of your creative abilities. This individual may also be very seductive and manipulative. Don’t be seduced by anyone’s empty promises. This person may interrupt or keep you from improving yourself. Also, he is a distraction to future opportunities. Beware of this young, self-centered and immature individual, for he himself is unsure. This person is shutting down your intuition and blocking any psychic messages.
