MAJOR ARCANA NUMBER 14

ASTROLOGICAL SIGN or PLANET: SAGITTARIUS, CANCER, JUPITER

UPRIGHT:
The Temperance card denotes balance, harmony and moderation. You are in good health emotionally and physically. The forces behind it are those that keep us from giving in to temptation or over-indulgence and from developing unhealthy addictions or behaviors. Temperate spirits avoid extremes, spread harmony and bring opposing sides together. This card indicates that you have the ability to negotiate a happy medium when faced with two opposing views or ideas. You can find a happy, healthy medium between what you want and what you need. Temperance provides an environment in which most will thrive and a haven where the injured may heal and re-energize and that all will be well. The Temperance card signifies success and contentment, which is found by practicing self-restraint and using balance to create a personal shelter from the storm. It is a time to put your energies to work in the right areas. It is important to understand that inward reflection is key to finding balance with the external stimuli. You take a mature and objective approach with matters at hand.
REVERSED:
In the reversed position, the Temperance card can signify excess, impatience, conflict and hostile behavior. You will experience periods of restlessness, which will result in quarreling and conflicts with others. You have been inconsiderate to the people you are close to. Your self-indulgence has caused animosity amongst your friends. This is not a time to make quick decisions. Your imbalances are causing physical stress. This behavior will get in the way of any new business opportunities and new friendships. Your energies are not being put to good use. You may find yourself being overly competitive.

Tarot Card for the Week of 6-14-15

The tarot cards hold special meanings, warnings, characteristics and actions that may need to be taken in order to change your course in life. Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the King of Swords as the tarot card for the week of 6-14-15, this may be the week to take definitive action and also it is not the time to let emotions rule your decisions. Logic, intellect and authority are the key words for you to live by this week. However, these key words are to be used as your mantra only in conjunction with respect and compassion when decisions involve others. You might also find yourself involved with an individual who is intelligent and a good adviser. This may be a sign that these are characteristics that you should emulate. Be watchful this week for those individuals who may be over-controlling, bullying and negatively influencing your decisions. These individuals may be causing discord in your business and personal relationships. So, be careful who you deal with this week and be mindful of your own motives and the motives of others.

UPRIGHT:
The King of Swords, Minor Arcana represents the symbol of true authority. It signifies intelligence, prudence, power, fairness and caring. You give direction with firm leadership. You remain objective in all situations and seek out only the facts. You put emotions to the side. This is the time to use your intellectual resources. Keep a strict and unbiased position. With your use of diplomacy, it puts you in a position to be objective in the judgment of others. Do not worry if you are not acting in an empathetic way. Logic and intellect will give the fairest outcome. This may also indicate an individual who has your best interests at hand, especially when it comes to legal or financial matters. If you have difficulties in these areas, it is time to find a qualified person to help you. Also, you might be set in your ways, expecting others to follow your rules. Do not overuse your power — being the caring individual that you are will prevail.
REVERSED:
This may indicate that in some way you have been treated unfairly or discriminated against. You may find that someone who was loyal to you is now undermining you. You are now allowing your emotions to show, which will make you extremely vulnerable. There appears to be difficulty getting your words across. They might be misunderstood and hurtful to others. You may have feelings of injustice and an abuse of power. Distance is being created from loved ones. Highly subject to excessive mood swings. This may also indicate an individual in your life who likes to pontificate on uninteresting topics to show superiority. This person is only out to do harm. Keep in mind this person is a bully, has no regard for the feelings of others and cannot control his own emotions. These individuals may be running you down physically. Take time to rest. This is also no time for you to waffle. You need to make decisions. As a result, your worries will overtake your goals in no time.

Tarot Card for the Week of 6-7-15

The tarot cards hold special meanings, warnings, characteristics and actions that may need to be taken in order to change your course in life. Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Hanged Man as the tarot card for the week of 6-7-15, will this be the week to bring about change through sacrifice? If you are feeling stagnant, this may be a time to reconcile your past and look toward the future. Try not to wallow in self-pity or play the martyr this week. This may not be the week to isolate yourself or to be apathetic. It would be best for you to use your intuition to help make a positive choice or decision. At the end of week, you decide whether or not the Hanged Man fell in the upright or reverse position for you.

MAJOR ARCANA NUMBER 12

ASTROLOGICAL SIGN or PLANET: PISCES, NEPTUNE

UPRIGHT:
The Hanged Man card represents sacrifice, surrender and selfless acts. This is a time for your patience and renewal. Understand what your future needs might be. The Hanged Man embodies the notion that sometimes to lose is to win. It is time to give up trying to do things your way. It might be the time to do the exact opposite. He creates his fate through inaction and accepts his fortune passively, without resistance. He does not struggle to control the path his life takes, but rather allows events to sweep him where they will, even if he is called upon to sacrifice himself. So at ease with the fate that the Universe has chosen for him, even hanging upside down from a tree does not ruffle any feathers. In other words, outcomes are based on faith, rather than knowledge. He relies on his intuition, is not shy of prophecies and may use divinations.

REVERSED:
In the reversed position, the Hanged Man card signifies an unwillingness to help, martyrdom or even loss. It can indicate a failure to act, a lack of progress or apathy. It might be a time to reevaluate, but not a time to make final decisions. Your current state and situations may take a different turn, whether to the positive side or the negative side. You may be experiencing spiritual bankruptcy. It can also signify materialism and selfishness. You might be unable to let go of anger and resentments and harbor self-pity. There are those who may take advantage of you by using emotional blackmail. This is not the time to play the martyr.
