Tarot Card for the Week of 5-31-15

The tarot cards hold special meanings, warnings, characteristics and actions that may need to be taken in order to change your course in life. Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Nine of Cups as the tarot card for the week of 5-31-15, this might be the week that your wishes, hopes and dreams will start to come true. This card is also known as the wish card and it is one of the most positive cards in the deck. Most importantly, you will bask in emotional contentment and good health. Even though things are going well, this card warns to be wary of complacency, self-indulgence, taking advantage of others and false hope. Try not to negatively get in your own way. Never forget where you came from and always project an attitude of gratitude. It is also a time to be financially responsible, as you might not be as secure in that area as might think. Be especially cautious when funding any new projects — this could drain you financially. At the end of the week, you decide if the Nine of Cups fell in the upright or reversed position for you.

UPRIGHT:
Nine of Cups, Minor Arcana, symbolizes satisfaction. Contentment and happiness abound. You appreciate all of the challenges you have faced that finally got you to this joyous place in life. Problems from the past are now the lessons learned that allow you to finally be at peace. This is a time for enjoyment of the simple pleasures. There is a communion with the body and nature. All of your senses are heightened. This is the time for dreams to come true and to enjoy inner security and contentment.

REVERSED:
There is a danger of taking all of your life’s gifts and graces for granted and forgetting how you got where you are today. If you ignore this, you could lose everything. Smugness and self-indulgence can be your downfall. There is also disappointment that your dreams will not be met. You may be taking advantage of friends. Boasting will have a negative impact on the people closest to you. Greed and not doing things in moderation will bring on illness and financial loss. This is not the time to become complacent.

Tarot Card for the Week of 7-14-13

The tarot cards hold special meanings, warnings, characteristics and actions that may need to be taken in order to change your course in life. Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Major Arcana Lovers card as the tarot card for the week of 7-14-13, it not only speaks about love between couples, but it asks you to examine your other relationships, such as business partners and close friendships. The Lovers card also represents choices you can make about the direction your life can take, particularly regarding parts of your life that you are dissatisfied with. Examine those choices diligently to make sure that you have chosen the correct path. This might be the week to go with your intuition involving relationships — either continuing or severing. Get honest with yourself about your true commitment in your relationships. Are you comfortable with your actions? If there has been discord in your marriage, this might be the time to seek professional counseling.

MAJOR ARCANA NUMBER 6

ASTROLOGICAL SIGN or PLANET: GEMINI, MERCURY, VENUS

UPRIGHT:
The Lovers card indicates both the most powerful of unions and the most challenging of conflicts that humans must face. On one hand, the card embodies love and union on a cosmic scale — a love so strong, so inherently good that it actually makes the lovers better, more than they really are. All of the elements are there for the perfect union. The Lovers represent all-powerful unions and the elements that create and sustain them. Because of the strong bonds, all trials and tribulations will be overcome. When this card appears, it may also indicate that you may be facing two different paths to take in your relationship. It is important to choose your path carefully, and most of all, follow your intuition and heart.
REVERSED:
In the reversed position, the Lovers card can signify distrust or manipulation in a relationship, being in an unfulfilled relationship or having unrealistic expectations. There is a possibility you have made poor choices. Do not make hasty decisions in a relationship. There can also be jealousy, lack of morals, standards and values, unreliability and irrationality. This card may also indicate frustration in a current relationship, which is caused by indecision. It is also an indication of friction in the relationship and some counseling may be a good option. Stagnation in seeking help may resolve itself in a separation or divorce. Be wary of possible toxic emotional relationships.
