Tarot Card for the Week of 9-16-12

With the Eight of Swords as the tarot card for the week, is this a time in your life that you are not thinking clearly or are feeling trapped in situation that you cannot control? Your imprisonment has been of your own doing. Take a closer look at your overall health, as a situation could be wearing you down mentally and physically. Does it seem that no matter what you do, you are feeling stuck? This week may also be a time to be cautious when working around the house — be careful of small mishaps. This card may also indicate an opportunity for a new beginning and that it is time to move forward.  At the end of the week, you decide if the Eight of Swords fell in the upright or reversed position for you.

UPRIGHT:
The Eight of Swords card, Minor Arcana, represents feeling trapped and imprisoned. Your thoughts and fears have paralyzed and entrapped you physically and mentally. You feel shackled and are unable to think clearly. Thinking of change is overwhelming. You think it is better to stay where you are than to take a risk. You also have an overwhelming fear of getting hurt.
REVERSED:
You will start thinking more clearly, but you have to fight for it. Recognize that you possess the power to rebuild your self-confidence. You are no longer the victim of circumstances. Use your intuition to liberate you from oppression. Now is the time to question if your energies are being used to the best of your ability. Let go of the past and start planning and living for the future. Everything else is just water under the bridge.
