Has a person shown up to keep you on track this week? At the end of the week, you decide if the Hierophant card fell in the upright or reversed position for you.

MAJOR ARCANA NUMBER 5

ASTROLOGICAL SIGN or PLANET: TAURUS, JUPITER, MARS
?
UPRIGHT:
The Hierophant card, Major Arcana, also referred to as the Pope, represents a mentor, teacher, spiritual counselor. He symbolizes marriage, unions, romance, meaningful relationships. He shows great mercy and goodness to all. He is very much like a teacher or a priest. He serves as a great inspiration. The Hierophant is certainly not one to buck proper authority. He is a conformist. He is a staunch and worthy defender of the tried and true. This card may be an indication that you could use the direction offered by a group, depending on your needs and situation. Embrace traditions and rituals, but always think for yourself or call upon someone you consider a mentor to guide you.
REVERSED:
The Hierophant card signifies poor advice, single-mindedness and unconventional behavior. The card may refer to a rebellious individual, a nonconformist. It may show a departure from religious institutions, traditional universities or other dogma. It can also represent someone who is so narrow minded that he has become bigoted, with a disregard for any view other than his own. This card may also be a warning that you should not partake in gossiping or slandering. There is a tendency for manipulation in a relationship and any distortion of the truth causes discord.
