Tarot Card for the Week of 12-30-12

The tarot cards hold special meanings, warnings, characteristics and actions that may need to be taken in order to change your course in life. Keep in mind that some aspects are changeable and some are not. It is all up to you. With the Fool Card as the tarot card for the week of 12-30-12, notice the scene depicted in the card. The fool, who is a dreamer, is looking up with confidence, however, he is unaware of the cliff he is about to fall off over. The cliff symbolizes his journey and the pitfalls he may encounter before reaching his goals. He represents change and new beginnings. For you during the coming week, have you thought through some of the changes and choices you are wanting to make in your life? Are you being practical about your expectations of the future? Is your ego and desire for material items getting in the way of your spirituality? Are you making your own choices or are you taking advice from others because it is easier that way? Be careful and aware this week of the consequences that will occur because of your decisions. At the end of the week, you decide if the Fool fell in the upright or reversed position for you.

MAJOR ARCANA, NUMBER ZERO

ASTROLOGICAL SIGN or PLANET: URANUS

UPRIGHT:
The fool card refers to a jester, not to someone who is foolish. It represents a dreamer, an idealist. The Fool desires to do great things, but is often unaware of just how difficult the process is. He must always be very careful of the choices he makes, remembering that knowledge is his ally. This card often symbolizes a new beginning, unrestrained optimism, spontaneity and curiosity. It is time to examine all options carefully, before making decisions in your life.

Although the Fool may well indicate a lack of experience or a grasp of life?s pitfalls, it is equally true that his lack of experience leads him to believe that all things are possible, which can bring even impossible goals within his reach. From exploring new horizons in life to experiencing a new phase, the Fool card also symbolizes letting life take its course, as well as the negative implications of having to come to terms with the current condition one?s own life is in.

REVERSED:
In the reversed position, the card can signify risk taking, bad choices or decision making, hesitation and apathetic behavior. Your own vanity may get in your way. There is an overwhelming fear of the future. You may have a cynical outlook or reluctance and hesitancy. Do not take any risks or make snap decisions at this time. You may also be in possible danger.

Tarot Card for the Week of 10-14-12

With the Hanged Man as the tarot card for the week of 10-14-12, will this be the week to bring about change through sacrifice? If you are feeling stagnant, this may be a time to reconcile your past and look toward the future. Try not to wallow in self-pity or play the martyr this week. This may not be the week to isolate yourself or the week to be apathetic.? It would be best for you to use your intuition to help make a positive choice or decision. At the end of week, you decide whether or not the Hanged Man fell in the upright or reverse position for you.

MAJOR ARCANA NUMBER 12

ASTROLOGICAL SIGN or PLANET: PISCES, NEPTUNE

?

UPRIGHT:
The Hanged Man card represents sacrifice, surrender and selfless acts. This is a time for your patience and renewal. Understand what your future needs might be. The Hanged Man embodies the notion that sometimes to lose is to win. It is time to give up trying to do things your way. It might be the time to do the exact opposite. He creates his fate through inaction and accepts his fortune passively, without resistance. He does not struggle to control the path his life takes, but rather allows events to sweep him where they will, even if he is called upon to sacrifice himself. So at ease with the fate that the Universe has chosen for him, even hanging upside down from a tree does not ruffle any feathers. In other words, outcomes are based on faith, rather than knowledge. He relies on his intuition, is not shy of prophecies and may use divinations.

?

REVERSED:
In the reversed position, the Hanged Man card signifies an unwillingness to help, martyrdom or even loss. It can indicate a failure to act, a lack of progress or apathy. It might be a time to reevaluate, but not a time to make final decisions. Your current state and situations may take a different turn, whether to the positive side or the negative side. You may be experiencing spiritual bankruptcy. It can also signify materialism and selfishness. You might be unable to let go of anger and resentments and harbor self-pity. There are those who may take advantage of you by using emotional blackmail. This is not the time to play the martyr.
