He shows great mercy and goodness to all. He is very much like a teacher or a priest. He serves as a great inspiration. The Hierophant is certainly not one to buck proper authority. He is a conformist. He is a staunch and worthy defender of the tried and true. This card may be an indication that you could use the direction offered by a group, depending on your needs and situation. Embrace traditions and rituals, but always think for yourself or call upon someone you consider a mentor to guide you.
REVERSED:
The Hierophant card signifies poor advice, single-mindedness and unconventional behavior. The card may refer to a rebellious individual, a nonconformist. It may show a departure from religious institutions, traditional universities or other dogma. It can also represent someone who is so narrow minded that he has become bigoted, with a disregard for any view other than his own. This card may also be a warning that you should not partake in gossiping or slandering. There is a tendency for manipulation in a relationship and any distortion of the truth causes discord.

If they have been stagnant, not growing or causing unhappiness, either try to repair the damage or just let go. If you choose to let go, it will be painful in the short term; however, in the long term you will most likely benefit with joy in moving forward. It may be possible that another individual may be influencing this discord. This is not a time to be overly emotional. Let yourself be open to change and new circumstances, and then you will experience positive outcomes. Stay focused and organized and do not let petty arguments get to you. However, if you are wrong, admit it. One of the key messages from this card is to remain level-headed and do not act too hastily. Aim for balance with your mind, body and spirit.

Three of Swords, Minor Arcana, is a card of heartbreak. Much sadness is felt from a separation. Feelings of betrayal are evident. There might be unexpected breakups or separations that will overwhelm you. Keep in mind “no pain, no gain.” Once you get past the pain, new chapters and opportunities will open in your life. REVERSED:
A good sign that negativity draining out. All of the pains, sorrows and losses are starting to pass. Broken relationships begin to repair themselves or new ones appear. It may be your position to make peace ? apologies are appropriate, however, think them through. You are willing to slowly let go and start a new path. You are also solely out for extremes of pleasure, self-indulgence and gluttony. This is the time to realize that you have come to a point in your life where you recognize your limitations and what can and cannot be fixed. Stop wavering and make a different choice.
